John McConnell-Grant
John McConnell-Grant is a Political Science student at Dalhousie University. He's best known as the founder of Urban Halifax. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Urban Halifax grew into Nova Scotia's most popular Facebook Page, becoming a trusted source for updates, news, and entertainment — generating millions of impressions and one of the largest social media audiences in Nova Scotia.
An experienced political operative, John's experience in politics has taken him from coast-to-coast, as he has worked for campaigns and causes across Canada. His experience includes working for the Nova Scotia Liberal Caucus Office for Premier Stephen McNeil, serving as Director of Communications for Mark Marissen's Campaign for Mayor of Vancouver, and working as Social Media Manager for Nova Scotia Liberal Party Leader Zach Churchill's Leadership Campaign.
